Thanks for sharing this writeup. What's your protocol for writing these out of curiosity?

Hi,

My protocol is very much under development, with the key aspect being to keep trying and learning. For initial topics, they've been thoughts and conversation that have I've had at work. The initial topics have generated subsequent topics. Usually for an article topic I create several deep research reports, the key there being the sources that come with them. The sources have good information and further connections. I keep a running list of items that come up during one article research that can be used in the future. I also am developing a set of question I ask as I approach the information like, is there a weak signal here that is an early indicator of potential change , or if this trend continues what's the second order effect?

Then its outlines, revisions, sometimes a LLM gives me an interesting angle I missed. I try to send out drafts to more knowledgeable people, and I've had variable success with that. The "Blue Collar" and "Digital Watershed" articles specifically had people I consider experts give me a thumbs up. which was nice.

Lastly, I'm finding its helpful to have 2-3 article in progress at once. Keeps the moment up and let's the subconscious do some work while I focus on something new.
